Today, I

spent a good hour doing nothing but letting my FOUR year old teach me how to use the Photo booth on our computer! {I had no idea how to even open up the application} He was watching me on the phone and answering emails {per usual} and he came up to me and said, "Mom - do you want to take silly pictures with me?" Who says no to that?

Lately - I have been feeling the time pass way too fast and these little ones are getting older by the minute. I have to speak at a Women's Conference in June and I was thinking about my topic {which is Serving those we love!} and  I thought that the greatest satisfaction will come from serving my own children while I have them in my home. I have a lot of  friends say that I go to extremes for the holidays and special dinners for my kids - but I say "Why not?" Too many times we only do all the hoopla and set out the best dishes for our friends! I only hope that what I am teaching my kids will be a deep rooted memory of a good childhood and life filled with tissue paper balls and homemade goodies made especially for them! They deserve it!

Okay - the rambling is over...by the way... this girl snuck in a picture as well-Don't want anyone feeling left out! {Maddie is off babysitting and Bailey is with her Grandma!}

While we try to teach our children all about life,
Our children teach us what life is all about.

Love it! I wouldn't have been able to resist him either.

And I have to agree, serving our family is our greatest calling. My friend tells me I spoil the boys when I take them out of school early to go see a movie, or take them for yogurt just because they ask, but I cherish that time together and want them to remember this time. Besides, it's the "bonding" now that will hopefully get us all through the teen years.
