My little sister is doing some pretty amazing and crafty things - she even started a really cute craft blog to show all her stuff [I say she needs an Etsy shop}. Go check it out HERE! Keep in mind, this sis has three little girls, 5 and under, so she is busy besides finding the time to make all of her crafts. Well, I have been inspired by what she has been doing
with felt and I wanted to give it a try myself.
I ran across this website where the girl had made a really cute flower out of wool, and so I did the same thing but with felt. They turned out pretty darn cute and so I thought I would show you how to do them so you can create some yourself.
I was thinking these would be really cute put on headbands, a belt like my sister does, a necklace, or even on a t-shirt for a young girl. The ideas are endless!
You need some colored felt, scissors, a circle shape template
{that has the 2 in, 1 1/2 in. and 1in. size circles}.
You will need to trace and cut five circles of each different size, to create five petals.
Once you have cut out all of the circles, put the three different sizes together. I than got a needle and thread and started to pinch the three circles together.
That needs to be sewed to give a puckered look.
Pretty simple.
Once you have finished sewing the petals, just glue gun the petals together and I glued a couple of different buttons to place on top. Aren't those cute? I am now off to make a headband for Bailey to wear to church today!
I might even give some of these lovelies away!
