Baking with a cookie press!

So, I have a new found love in my life - this little electric cookie press has been producing some pretty awesome cookies as of late!

My friend Jen had a Christmas cookie exchange and so I decided in between wrapping presents....

and trying to keep an eye on this guy {who is crazy}

that I would do a pretty time consuming candy cane spritz cookie!
First you make the dough and than divide it in half and color one half of the dough red with soft gel paste colors.

After that, you use your cookie press to make the shape of the candy cane. I baked them at 350 degrees and than once I pulled them out and let them cool...

I began to dip them in white chocolate and pour on the crushed candy canes.

I had so much fun bagging these up and attaching a tag to the cookie!

Oh.. and did I fail to mention you were supposed to dress in Christmas attire? I won the prize as the Queen of 80's Christmas era!

SCAREY - YIKES!!!
