This...is the Life!

Well, being laid up is not all that it is cracked up to be! I will spare you soo many details, but I am BORED! The only two places I frequent are the couch and the toilet!
I have been so happy to have friends and family visit, which really helps the time pass quickly!
This is the first day back from surgery! I am feeling great because of all of the drugs!

We had this beautiful fruit basket delivered by our neighbor!
Soo yummy!

By day three, my knee was pretty scarey looking and this is pretty much where I am everyday.

Bart has been over the top with helping me during all of this! I would have said "enough is enough" after the first day - but my guy is the Best! He reminds me when I need to take my pills, ice my knee, go to the bathroom (fun) and all the rest! I heart you Bart!

YUCKY!!! AND YES.... it HURTS!!!!

This past week I have had so many fun visits..even some cute crafts were made thanks to one amazing mother-in-law!

Jamie and baby macKenzie

My BFF Cheryl, from Arizona, came down with her hubby for the weekend and they left their five kiddies at home. We had so much fun hanging out and catching up!

With Sue's help, Cheryl and I made some cute magnet boards and a jewelry frame holder. I can't wait to organize my bling!

Meanwhile, I still have four little ones and Bart has really taken on many hats this past week.
Here the kiddies are at the school's ice cream social.

Let's not discount the grandparents! They have really stepped it up and helped us so much with getting these kids to all of the places they need to be at!

Bailey earned some serious cash this weekend for getting her first goal in soccer! Go Bailey! I am so sad that I missed it!

To round off this week, Parker got a sippy cup, came and curled up on the couch beside me, crossed his little legs and proclaimed, "This... is the Life!' I couldn't agree more!

I always think it would be so great to have to lay around and do nothing, I guess when you have to, it must be harder than just wanting to and choosing too. Sounds like you have a great support team to take over for you. How cute are your in laws, it sounds like you guys have such a good relationship. Hope you heal fast, your knee looks nasty!

I am SO sorry! The mom isn't allowed to be out of commission. It's so hard to "take it easy."

Say hi to Cheryl for me. I think she married a guy that was in my district in the MTC. Small world.

Rest up. Heal fast.

Heather, I totally feel for you. My knee surgery was one of the worst things I've had to go through! But, I'm glad you're finally taking care of the problem- you've had way too many accidents!!! We love you and hope you make a speedy recovery! Take it easy. I'm glad my mom's there for you!

You are so blessed to have all those people taking care of you! And all those friends that just want to be with you! That was so thoughtful of your mother-in-law to come up with crafts you can actually do sitting down! That helps time pass by! I hope your recovery goes well and is quick! Xoxo Christina!

I am actually a little jealous of you now...dang I think I need to get some kind of major surgery done, so that I can have everyone waiting on me hand and foot!! haha Love you and hope you have a quick recovery!!

Your leg looks horrible and I'm sure its awefully painful. It's great that Bart, kids and friends are so helpful. Enjoy the handicap parking pass. I had one for my last two pregnancies. It really comes in handy and sad when you have to give it up. Enjoy the down time. "Normal" life comes back too quickly.
