Why I am a Mom!

“You must regard parenting as one of your most important tasks while you have children at home. This is your calling…There is nothing more important. You have only a brief season of life to invest yourself in this task. You have only one opportunity to do it. You cannot go back and do it over. You live in a culture in which there are opportunities for you to do things unheard of in history. You are presented daily with scores of opportunities. There is more than you could ever do. [But] to do this job of parenting well, it must be a primary task. It is your primary calling.” Paul Tripp

I didn't do much today....
Other than lay around for a while with this little guy
(in our pajamas, mind you)

We played swords with wrapping paper rolls
and threw the ball way too many times in the backyard
(sorry to our neighbors for the wandering balls being tossed over the fence!)

No laundry done, no bathrooms cleaned!
So, basically... a Great day!

I'm glad you are enjoying this phase of life. It will be gone way too quickly. He is a doll.

What a good mom you are! I am always happiest on the days I let other things go to actually play with my kids. It doesn't happen enough.

That is a great day. He'll remember that so much more, than than if the house had remained spotless all day.
