It's a Toss Up!

Parker invited me to play Light Sabors with him about twenty times today! I kept trying to explain that I had about 12 presents to wrap. (Which I couldn't wait to get my hands on) Caitlin's best friend invited her to go to Disney land for a couple of days for her 12th birthday so Caitlin had the best idea to buy and wrap 12 presents to give to her. Each gift meant something and she wrote the cutest little note for each one. Anyway to a little boy, that means nothing when he has Star Wars on the brain. Well, I did the best motherly thing I could, and distracted him so I could finish wrapping.

Later, we went to the mall and the poor boy was not very excited. I ran into an older lady at the mall and she was asking me about Parker, as she has a little grandson the same age. She said, "From the looks of you, I bet you spend a lot of time with him and realize that he will be grown and gone before you know it." "Oh yes," was my reply - "do I ever know it!".....Ahem...so I bet you can guess what I played about twenty/thirty times when I got home with the above mentioned child that is so paid attention to.

And as I'm sitting her blogging, my 7 yr old just came and asked me if I wanted to play a game with him. I almost told him not right now, but because of your post, I told him sure.

How cute! The things we do for our kids. I end up playing dress up with all of Cassidy's hats and little plastic shoes, then it's off to a tea party.

Hey Heather,

Totally funny, but I was searching to see if maybe I could find a recipe like the nothing bundt cake ones and your blog pulled up and I thought, "hey, I think I know her!" Your kids are darling, what a cute family!

Sometimes I just have to let go of having a clean house and just engage in some serious play with my children.
