My mom was turning 60 and we planned the best surprise weekend for her (and for us)! My dad took her up to LA and didn't tell her where they were going. She tried and tried to pry it out of us but we weren't telling. Meanwhile, my Sisters, Jill and Meghan, flew in from out of state and we all met up at my sister Elizabeth's house. We went shopping at the Grove and than headed over to the Jay Leno show where we were going to be waiting in line for my mom and dad. When my mom and dad came, Jill was actually the only one in line, and my mom was speechless (mouth open and no words) - I am sure Jill was very uncomfortable with the whole thing. Then we all walked up and she started to cry and said this was the best birthday surprise ever! Wow - did we all benefit - our great Hubbies were at home watching the kids while we played, shopped, pillow talked, ate, laughed, Pinkberry'd , etc.etc. It was so much fun and we all commented that it was like we were little kids again and were on a trip with mom and dad. Dad - you did a great job at pulling this one off. Mom was amazingly truly surprised!

We had dinner after the Jay Leno show at a trendy fun restaurant called Ketchup. We had our big eyes looking at all times for movie stars.

Heady joe...you may be one of the worlds FASTEST bloggers ever!! I seriously can't keep up! Anyway, pics are cute - I have many similar ones ;) And WHY WHY WHY the gross spa one? I say you take it down!!
