Husband and I should get an academy award!

We should both go into acting - we really pulled it off this time!
You know when you envision something happening perfectly - this was definitely one of those moments! in the morning, just like clock work, Caitlin was woken up {late} and she totally got worried and almost cried. I told her that I would have to write her a note and take her to school a little later.
Bart {pretended} to go start the car and load the girl's backpacks and came in a few minutes later freaking out that the battery died. So, I had to jump in and {pretend} to make a bunch of fake phone calls to people saying that I would be taking all of my kids to school instead of with the carpool. Bart insisted that I had to take him first and drop him off on a job site and than take the kids off to school. So, we jumped on the freeway, pretending to be stressed the whole time and stopped at an exit where Dad said he was meeting someone. While we were there, Bart got the video camera ready, I handed out the notes and they opened them one by one! oh my gosh... the screams, the excitement, the shock and the surprise were almost too much!
We loved every minute of it!
Even better surprise was surprising them once again and meeting up with their cousins [they thought it was a family day} They were thrilled and this will go down in history as one of the 'Best Days of my life!" Said by Parker!

That's so cool. Love all the pics...what a great memory to have. One question though. What kind of example is that to ditch school??? Just kidding, it was a field trip right?

Get in while you can, it is hard to pull them out of school once they hit high school!

I miss just taking off and going to Disney, such fun! Glad you could pull it off. That was awesome!

Heather - How RANDOM was it to run into each other while looking at the pictures at Splash Mountain in Disneyland that day??? I always love when I run into you, no matter where, but Disneyland was too fun! I was sad we got interrupted when you started telling me about how you got your kids there that day, so it was fun to read it on your blog. You and Bart are such fun parents! (you both have good role models, I must say!) I'm going again on January 25th - want to come?? Annual Passes are THE BEST!!! Love ya!
